Sara Fry is an Oakland based mixed-media artist working in mediums including photography, collage, embroidery and acrylic. In her artistic practice she examines themes of place, heredity, belonging, and perception. She received her BFA in photography in 2008 from the Academy of Art University and has been an artist in residence at both the Kala Institute and Jentel Arts.
